CIBER Grant Renewal
The U.S. Department of Education has renewed the grant for our Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER) for 2014-2018, with an award estimated at $1 million. We were one of only 17 that were renewed, including those at Brigham Young University, George Washington University, Michigan State University, San Diego State University, and the University of South Carolina.
GSU-CIBER’s grant application received an almost perfect score of 110 points. It highlighted several new projects and programs, including the Minority-Serving Institution (MSI) Consortium, which consists of more than 25 committed MSI’s and CIBER’s. GSU-CIBER is taking over leadership of the Consortium, and overseeing the mentorship program, faculty development, and awarding of travel grants.
We would like to thank you all for your support and encouragement throughout this process and we look forward to continuing to work with all of you and our new Dean!
