Study Abroad Scholarships
Mary Kathleen Berry Study Abroad ScholarshipThe purpose of the fund is to provide support to GSU graduate and undergraduate students in good standing to pursue a study abroad program, including but not limited to the “Global Business and Media” study abroad program. The recipients(s) of the award must:
- Have a demonstrated financial need as documented by the Student Financial Aid Office
- Have a minimum high school 3.0 GPA for incoming freshman or a current college 3.0 GPA for sophomore, junior or senior students
Bradford and Patricia Ferrer CIBER ScholarshipThe purpose of the fund is to provide support to CIBER students who wish to study abroad. Should the CIBER program cease to exist, the Ferrers intend that the scholarship be used to support Robinson College students with financial need who wish to participate in a study abroad program.
Nita Robinson Scholars ProgramIn honor of Mrs. Nita Robinson, J. Mack Robinson endowed The Nita Robinson Scholars Program for $1 million. The scholarships are awarded to students to further their understanding of the global business environment.
The Lori Muse Study Abroad Scholarship EndowmentThe Lori Muse Study Abroad Scholarship Endowment was established in memory of Lori Muse and her love for international travel. It was her wish that all students have the opportunity to study abroad.
Judy & Tamer Cavusgil Scholarship FundS. Tamer Cavusgil and Judy Cavusgil, both educators, wished to honor exceptional students who are proactive about expanding their horizons and seeking professional development opportunities. They realize that international work or study experiences can make a remarkable impact on one's personal and professional growth. Tamer and Judy are pleased to be able to contribute to this goal in a small way.
Sidney & Mary Harris Travel FundDr. Sidney E. Harris served as Dean of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University from 1997-2004. He and his wife Dr. Mary S. Harris are keen supporters of the college's international initiative. It is their stated desire to provide scholarship funding for students to underwrite a meaningful study abroad opportunity.
Air CargoThis scholarship, established in 1990, is awarded to support the internationalization efforts of undergraduate students of the Robinson College of Business.
Michael & Cynthia ShannonThis scholarship is open to RCB students with no study abroad experience and a GPA of at least 3.0.
Tony HolcombeStudents with no previous international travel are encouraged to apply for this study abroad scholarship. Students must be in good academic standing.
H. Fenwick Huss Study AbroadDr. Fenwick Huss served as Dean of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business from 2004-2014. As a global citizen himself, Dr. Huss recognizes the need for students to incorporate international travel into their academic program. This scholarship is open to undergraduate students only with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Ann Marie Michaud ScholarshipMs. Michaud established this scholarship for undergraduate students in the Robinson College of Business to help those wishing to include international travel in their program.
Tim & Kathy GunterThis scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students of the Robinson College of Business who would like to study abroad.
Ahmet Bozer Study Abroad ScholarshipThe purpose of this fund is to provide support to Robinson College of Business undergraduate students, in good standing, to pursue a study abroad program. Students should have no previous international travel experience.
Nicholas & Anne Marie Shreiber ScholarshipThe purpose of this fund is to provide Robinson College of Business students with no previous international experience an opportunity to travel abroad. Students must be in good academic standing.
Georgia State University Programs
IEF Study Abroad Scholarship
The Georgia State University International Education Fee (IEF) Study Abroad Scholarship Program, initiated in academic year 2004, is funded by the mandatory international education student fee. Visit the Study Abroad Programs Office for more information.
HOPE recipients receive the normal tuition and fees for the term as if they were physically enrolled in Georgia. HOPE does not pay the extraordinary costs of study abroad programs. Students should contact the student financial aid office to be approved for and complete the necessary paperwork for study abroad payment. Please visit the HOPE website for more information.
The Coca-Cola Global Ambassadors Scholarship
Through their generous support, The Coca-Cola Foundation has established The Coca-Cola Global Ambassadors Scholarship Program. This program is a major initiative for GSU to expose college students to the global economy. This scholarship is open to all students that meet the minimum requirements. Preference is given to first generation Robinson College of Business students with no previous international travel.
Financial Aid Office

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
Sponsored by the US Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by IIE through its Southern Regional Center, this program enables students who have limited financial means the opportunity to participate in study abroad. For more information, full eligibility criteria, and information on submitting an application please contact the Study Abroad Programs Office.
API Affiliate Scholarship
Academic Programs International (API) offers two $500 scholarships per calendar year to GSU students who participate in API programs for spring or fall. Students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and have their courses approved to be eligible. Applications are available in the Study Abroad Programs Office.
AIFS Affiliate Scholarship
American Institute for Foreign Studies (AIFS) offers $400 discounts to GSU students who participate in AIFS semester programs and $200 discounts for AIFS summer programs. Contact the Study Abroad Programs Office for more information.
CEA Affiliate Scholarships
Georgia State students are eligible for a $500 discount for academic year programs, $250 for semester programs, and $100 for summer programs, plus students may be eligible to apply for additional CEA scholarships (found on the CEA website).
European Council Scholarships
The European Council of the University System of Georgia offers scholarships to students who participate in the USG London or Paris Summer Programs. Applications packets are available in the Study Abroad Programs Office.
